Ryo and Xiang Ying attended the funeral of Qian De, her uncle. Jian Qiang tells Ryo of how he met Xiang Ying's mother, Lin Xiang Ping, and that it was Qian De who got them together and encouraged him to have children. His ashes were scattered in the ocean. Xiang Ying asked Ryo to scatter her ashes in the ocean if she ever dies before him.
