After struggling to overcome Rando's enormous power, Kuwabara encourages Yusuke to continue the battle, despite the costs, and vanquish his opponent. After turning Rando's primary technique against him, he is defeated once and for all. Yusuke, having won the tournament, becomes Genkai's apprentice for six months.
